It is not recommended to put a cracked disc into the console because, while spinning at those high speeds, another little piece of plastic could break off and the destory the inside of the console. Thankfully, though, with The New Xbox Experience Fall 2008 Dashboard Update, they are adding a feature that lets you rip games to your HardDrive, which means you can still play your games because it reads off a file, and the disc does not spin.

No, you can get it fixed in a refurbishing machine. I paid $1 to get mine fix, and it worked like new, but then it scratched again so I have to pay another dollar to get it fixed.
i wouldnt put it in but i think it will still work. it may break off tho and get jammed or scratch the disc or reading lens in which case your F***D so i wouldnt do it
Yes, it is destroyed, and don't play the disk at all. You cannot fix the disks, you will have to buy a new one.
yes dont even put it in ur xbox it could crack even more and therefore scratch the little light that reads the discs
