Try the product ';Press and Seal'; It creates a freezer tight packet Not too expensive any moreHow can I safely and easily glue clear plastic to top of recycled TV dinner trays to be frozen?
I wouldnt glue them, instead try wrapping them in clingfilm/saran wrapHow can I safely and easily glue clear plastic to top of recycled TV dinner trays to be frozen?
Don't use glue. The chance of harmful vapors coming from it when it gets hot is a good possibility. This could permeate the food and make you really sick. Invest in a food sealing machine. They come with bags large enough to put a tray into and you can buy the kind that will suck the air out so you have the same qualities of a store bought dinner.
Definitely do not glue them. Unlike the factory, which is producing these TV dinners for long-term storage, you are going to use yours within a month or two. (Longer storage than that will drastically reduce the quality of some home-frozen items, especially precooked ones.)
I would simply put the filled trays onto a cookie sheet and freeze them and then stack them inside freezer boxes or ziplock bags with a couple of layers of waxed paper between the trays.
Wrap them tightly in aluminum foil to freeze, then remove the foil and use the plastic wrap when you heat them in the microwave, or leave the foil on to heat them in the oven.
