How to get model paint off clear plastic?

I was painting a plastic R/C model car and a slight misting of paint got on the windshield It's just model spray, but it dried fast. Is there anyway to get this off without scratching the windshield too bad? I've tried nail polish remover and it doesn't work.How to get model paint off clear plastic?
I've had this issue on occasion with model aircraft or armor...





I take a Q-tip, dip it in the correct solvent for the paint (thinner), and then gently rub until it comes off. No scratches !! If that doesn't work... I've also used tooth-paste (not gel) as a polishing compound that will remove over-spray without scratching.





Nail polish remover (acetone) MAY soften some plastics... test first on scrap !!How to get model paint off clear plastic?
Soak it in Simple Green for a few days, it should rub right off. Keep soaking it until it does.
