How would i attatch the corrugated type clear plastic roof to my Brick shed? Does it have to tie to wood?

or can it be fixed straight into the breeze block that the shed is built of? At the moment the delapidated shed roof is a wooden frame with joists dropped into the brick supporting the ooen roof.

I want to take the old knackered roof off and raise it slightly then replace it with a clear plastic corrugate type to let some good light in. The shed is 10ft x 10ft breeze block construction. How would i attatch the corrugated type clear plastic roof to my Brick shed? Does it have to tie to wood?
To do what you are doing, you will (as others suggest) need to fix to timber,

However, the corrugated plastic will split and crack. If you want the light in, and something that will last, why not put a lean-to roof system on your shed. There are dozens of suppliers of these on the Internet to shop around with.

I can recommend some but i don't like to on here. How would i attatch the corrugated type clear plastic roof to my Brick shed? Does it have to tie to wood?
You need to fit a wood batten to the brick wall and secure the corrugated plastic sheet using the correct screw fittings which will include a large washer to prevent the plastic roofing tearing.
Since you want to raise the roof , it fit swell the typical installation method for the corrugated roofing.( perimeter plate %26amp; rafters)

Normal framing for the roof structure %26amp; special wood ';spacers' which are shaped to fit the corrugations of the roofing material get nailed across the rafters hold everything in place %26amp; fill gaps.

There are gasketed screws %26amp; nails which fix the roofing to the spacers (usually in the ';valleys';)

Will have to pre drill the plastic at fixing points.

Best regards
You need a wooden surround of battens which are fixed to the blockwork. The clear plastic is then fixed with broad head nails to the wood.
You buy fixing tacks for them. See Screwfix 78225-90. Nail them to wooden battans.
Plastic is OK for the short term but it is very brittle and will deteriorate in the sun about two years.try making enquires at
