What are ways to remove scratches cause by scrubbing to a clear plastic material?

I did that to my car's tachometer plastic display and I couldn't find a way to remove the scratches. are they any other ways other than replacing the whole plastic display ?What are ways to remove scratches cause by scrubbing to a clear plastic material?
nope.....lots of gimmick products but the shine is gone and the scratches are there to stay...some will hide them slightly...but will always be hazey.

sorry. What are ways to remove scratches cause by scrubbing to a clear plastic material?
If you take the lens out.

You can revive it :

1500 - and 2000 grit sand paper. (wet/dry kind)

get it wet with warm soapy water - start with the 1500 grit.

continue until the whole thing looks foggy.

Then repeat with the 2000 grit also using clean soapy water.

Then you want to use a dremmel tool - with a polishing bit.

Start off with a rubbing compound - medium grit.

You should start seeing some shine now.

Then wash it -

With a new buffing bit - use a jewlers rouge to polish it to like new.
If you are [persistent, and I mean persistent - and the scratches are not gouges... this should work.

Headlight lens repair kits contain 2000 grit wet sand paper and a chemical. The wet sand paper is used to smooth and even out the surface of plastic (headlight lenses). Once that has been done enough (and the wet sanding is all the effort), then the chemical is applied and the headlight polished to a new or near-new appearance.

The sandpaper is available in auto stores, perhaps home depot. The headlight kits have some, but not a lot.

I have done this process. IT WORKS - BUT - you can't be a quitter. You have to use elbow grease and finish when it's done, not when you give up instead.
