How could you decorate clear plastic storage boxes?

They are clear plastic boxes that i use to organize y closet and i just want them to look more fun. They are clear plastic with a white lid. The size of them is either 12 inches by 6 inches or twice that size. Any idea welcome. I do have a lot of spare fabric thoughHow could you decorate clear plastic storage boxes?
There are lots of ways to decorate them.


Since you have lots of fabric, we'll start with that. Podgey(?) Its like white glue. You can just that to glue patterns of fabics on to it. Or with some quilting battin, you can pad the container and then cover it with the fabric, hot gluing the edges and then covering the edges with trim. I've done this with 2 litre ice cream containers and then decorted them with silk flowers and ribbons and lace.


For my bathroom I decorated a larger plactic tub with fish stickers to match the fish I have painted on the walls. I use this container to keep my soap powder in.


You can get special paint now for plastic that seems to work great. I got some and sprayed my lawn chairs that were stained.


You can pick up lots of neet things in the scrapbook sections of the stores. Rub on decals do nice too.How could you decorate clear plastic storage boxes?
Dump the stuff out of the clear plastic container. Line the inside of the plastic box with the fabric. Before you tack it all down with glue.... put a cool label that you make off of the computer on colored paper.... (check the scrapbook stores for COOL designs, the paper at the scrapbook store is sooo cheap and so cool)... use the label on the front inside of the box, under the fabric. It will look great.





If you want to leave the inside of the boxes alone...


You could just cover the lid. Hot glue the fabric to the outside of the lid.... then decorate the edges of the fabric with a trim detail... perhaps some ribbon or lace or buttons or beads.
