What would happen if a cat was in a clear plastic ball just like a hampster? Is it cruel or not?

if the plastic ball was big enough, of course

hmm, I wonder. What would happen if a cat was in a clear plastic ball just like a hampster? Is it cruel or not?
I think a cat would be terrified by this experience. Cats like to feel enclosed when they are in control of their environment (such as in a box or paper grocery bag). If a cat were trapped and unable to escape the enclosure, that would be a whole different story.

Remember that cats are predators, but they are also prey. Their instinct is to seek protection from predators and concealment from prey -- this is why being inside a box or similar enclosure feels good to them. I think most cats would freak out if trapped inside something.

I hope this helps; good luck! What would happen if a cat was in a clear plastic ball just like a hampster? Is it cruel or not?
I think the plastic ball for the hamster is not cruel as it allows the hamster to run 'free' around the given area without fear of being trampled on instead of being stuck in a cage all the time.

A cat is a different story as it is already (I hope) free to move and is not limited to a confined space.

To put them in a plastic ball wouldn't be too easy either.
lol if the ball was big enough i dont see how it would be cruel! just dont go throwing it down the stairs!
haha it will freak out sooooooo bad... I tried it with one of my cats. But after a while he or she will chill down a bit.
