I'm not talking about flexible tubing. This tubing needs to stay straight, be at least 3'; in diameter and at least 18'; long.Where can I buy straight clear plastic tubing with at least a 3'; diameter?
I expect what you will want if the choice is a RIGID piece of tubing would be Clear ACRYLIC.
You should note the I.D., and O.D., and subsequent wall thickness you need before proceeding as all three can vary.
You should also determine how you will be attaching to whatever you are working with before you proceed and ask the supplier if it is possible with the tubing they suggest.
Acrylic is rigid so it will not allow you to shove something larger than it inside, like a hose fitting, without possibly cracking. It can also vary in tolerances so that should be considered with your use in mind.
Another item that might suit your purpose if the rigid tubing does not would be Clear PVC Suction Hose. Unlike pliable Clear PVC tubing it will not collapse in normal suction applications. The hard plastic (or metal) helix used to support the hose during suction along with the thickness of the hose and the material used can make this a rather STIFF product, although not as straight or stiff as rigid tubing. The hose has the advantage of being suitable for use with hose couplings that allow it to be directly connected to a piping system.
Working pressure at the temperatures to which it will be exposed should also be considered for either Rigid tubing or Suction Hose.

Using Clear Acrylic Tubing 3'; for a search
I found this supplier:
http://www.acrilex.com/config/productSiz鈥?/a>
They offered 3'; ID 3.25'; OD (.125'; wall) Clear Acrylic Tubing.
Where I used to work we produced clear acrylic sight gauges in 3'; and 4'; using .250 wall tubing. Unfortunately since I have not bought this in several years, I forget the vendors name.
If you want to use google or some other search engine the trick is to isolate 3'; from 3/16';, etc.
Use '; 3'; '; ';clear acrylic tubing';
note brackets around the 3'; and a space on either side this will insure you get the 3'; you want.
Here is someone who referenced the Rigid Acrylic Tubing as well:

for Clear PVC Suction Hose.
They will probably direct you to the nearest hose distributor.Where can I buy straight clear plastic tubing with at least a 3'; diameter?
The diameter of the pipe is going to put you in the industrial sector. Probably the food service sector, since your dealing with plastic. If you have any major manufacturers in the area, Frito, Ore-Ida, Tyson, that might be worth a call. Maybe you'll get lucky!! Good Luck
yu go to a lighting store they sell flourescent lamp shields that are exactly what your looking for. you may have to check ELECTRICAL SUPPLY HOUSES
Google ';extruded acrylic'; and/or ';acrylic shapes';. Lots of companys that supply this (and a zillion other shapes) are online.
